The Blue Angels

The Blue Angels are an improv group based in Chicago.  They take personal stories then weave them into fast paced comedic narratives.  They start with the truth and discover the absurd. The Blue Angels host a weekly show called The New New Show every Wednesday at The Playground Theater.

Sarah ManningSarah Manning

Back by popular demand - Sarah Manning!

As an artist and a class clown growing up, Sarah began cranking out impressions, characters, cartoons and satirical writing at an early age. Hailing from Cleveland, she made her stage debut as an actress there, while also improvising and emceeing. Her love of comedy eventually brought her to Chicago, where she was soon accepted into Second City's Music Improv Program.  Meanwhile, she began doing standup and was featured in showcases around the city, as well as producing and hosting open mics of her own (Hot Bits Comin’ Through!, The Sedgwick Stop).  She quickly became a well known figure in the comedy community, appearing in shows at Zanies, the WIP, Laugh Factory, Annoyance, and the Second City among many others.  What you’ll find in her performances are timely, yet "out-there", often dark and supremely goofy material.  She has earned a reputation for her character work and innovative approach to standup. More info on Sarah can be found on her website.
