Christmas Day celebrations

Share friendship, comfort and joy with Chicago elders this holiday!

Loved ones will soon gather again to celebrate togetherness with great food and lots of laughter. But for elders across Chicago living without friends and family, the holidays can feel especially lonely. As memories of turkey and stuffing start to fade, our elders are longing for another event to spend time with good friends, sharing conversation and making warm memories, this holiday season.

By making a Christmas gift to Little Brothers, you'll support our elders' holiday celebrations -- gift deliveries, in-home and nursing home meal deliveries and visits, and three parties on Christmas Day, where our elders will be surrounded by friends and festive, joyous celebration.

Make a Christmas Day Gift

A lonely Christmas used to be a reality for Joy. She's in her 70s with no living family members and no spouse or children to spend the holidays with, so Joy used to spend Christmas Day like any other day. But thanks to our caring volunteers and generous donors, Joy now celebrates with her LBFE family, getting dressed up in the morning, riding to a party with a volunteer and other friends, sharing a meal at a table set with white linen and fine china, toasting to the holiday, and laughing and dancing.

"I came to your Christmas Party, and it just opened my world up. The care and the concern of those coming to pick you up -- those young volunteers are warm and welcoming to my heart. I'm a dancer, so what I love about the parties is not just the good food but the great music. Sometimes, with seniors, we can't move more than a hand or an arm, but we dance however we're able. Now I'm starting to see familiar faces, and that brings a warm feeling of love, too. And I look forward to getting all dressed up! I think, 'I can wear my long dress.' I cherish having a special occasion like this!"

Your support will ensure that Joy and nearly 650 other seniors we serve on Christmas Day feel included and treasured this season. Every dollar will support our upcoming Christmas Day parties and Christmas Day visits to homebound Chicago elders.

Thank you for sharing friendship, comfort and joy this holiday season!
