Committees

Outreach and Development Committee

The Development Committee works to provide guidance and assistance as we raise more than $2.5 million. They also oversee our work to increase awareness, including efforts to update marketing materials and provide expertise to public relations. This committee works directly with our Board of Directors.

Service Delivery Committee

The Service Delivery Committee oversees how services and programs are delivered to the elders and volunteers at LBFE Chicago.  They lead the effort to recommend new policies, begin new initiatives, and evaluate our work.  This committee works directly with our Board of Directors.

Elder Advisory Committee

The Elder Advisory Committee ensures that our seniors are heard, inside and outside our organization.  They bring the perspective of our elders to program design and delivery, offering a unique viewpoint.  Recently they  spearheaded a talent show for LBFE elders.  In the coming year, they plan to host a breakfast meeting with Chicago aldermen to provide elders a forum to voice their concerns about neighborhood issues.

Volunteer Advisory Committee

The Volunteer Advisory Committee gives volunteers the opportunity to provide input in how we recognize, support, communicate with, recruit, and train our volunteers.  Every year they produce quarterly networking events and they provide input to our volunteer recognition event each spring

Lloyd Walding Brain Fitness Center Committee

The Lloyd Walding Brain Fitness Center Committee provides input and oversight to our Brain Fitness Center, making recommendations about needed equipment, hours, services, and outreach.  They provide guidance to staff about how to manage and market the Brain Fitness Center.
