Programs

Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly programs are free and designed to relieve isolation and loneliness through friendship, socialization and activities. Are elders are diverse, and we respect them all. Some are very social and enjoy great hoopla, others simply want a quiet conversation.  Some are homebound while others are very mobile.  With a wide variety of programs created with great consideration to the unique preferences, and needs, we are able to accommodate our Old Friends.

Quote from Matthew Simcoe

“This work makes me feel like I am contributing to a better country and world. Working with people with similar mindsets inspires hope for the future and faith in the present. [LBFE is] energetic, kind, patient, diverse, open minded, wise and willing.”

Matthew Simcoe, Print Production Coordinator Lead

“The ability to develop a relationship/friendship with an "old friend" makes this, in my experience, a very unique and particularly rewarding type of volunteer actitvity.”

Mary Lou Zwick, Attorney and LBFE donor
