Refer an Elder

Do you know of an elderly Chicagoan living alone? Is there a homebound elder near you who never has any visitors? Do you see the same elderly person sitting in the park with no one to talk to and share the day?

To become one of our elders, one must simply be a Chicago resident, 70 or more years of age, with limted social contacts or without nearby family members.

We serve English and Spanish-speaking elders and have bilingual volunteers and staff who are more than happy to visit and help.

If you know of a senior who would benefit from our services, or if you are an elder in the population we serve, please contact us. Once we have been contacted, we will telephone to gather information.  If an elder is appropriate for our programs, we will meet face to face with the elder to ensure that he or she is eligible and wishes to participate in our programs.

Need to refer an elder outside of Chicago?

For elderly living outside Chicago, Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly has chapters in Boston, Cincinnati, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Omaha, Philadelphia, San Francisco and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (Houghton County). There is also a Chicago sub-chapter in Northwest Indiana.
