Whom We Serve

We reach out to Chicagoans 70 years of age and older who live alone, who are without meaningful, social or family contacts.

Almost half of Chicago’s elderly are without family help as they age.  The vast majority of these seniors live independently; only 5% will ever permanently live in a nursing home.

As they outlive their circle of friends and family members, many become isolated from the outside world.  The medical problems, financial challenges, functional decline and other issues compound their sense of isolation and loneliness.

All of our services are free and designed to reestablish the human connection that makes life worth living.

We treat each of our elders as an individual, offering them a lifetime commitment of companionship and caring, an audience for their self-expression, an increased support base, and a network of friends. Many are also comforted to know that someone will honor them at their death and will grieve their passing.
