Friends and volunteers at Little Brothers Chicago

20 Million commuters see us annually -
Please join us in this sponsorship opportunity

In Chicago, growing old alone is the painful reality for thousands of elderly.
Studies have shown that 45% of elders have few or no meaningful social
connections
.

Many live alone, are isolated from their community and are too easily forgotten.
The effects are physically, psychologically, and spiritually debilitating. Where do they
turn for companionship and to find assistance in the daily challenges of independent
living?

For 50 years, Little Brothers-Friends of the Elderly Chicago Chapter (LBFE) has
embraced a mission that is simple to state, but expansive in scope: to relieve
isolation and loneliness among the elderly.   We build all our volunteer-based
programs on the core values of community, friendship, commitment, compassion,
self-expression, service, and hospitality.

bout Event

Our 50th anniversary theme is celebrating friendships.  As you well know, friendships are what LBFE is all about, so this theme is close to our hearts.  We’ll salute our all-important friendships with you and our many donors, volunteers and elders at our 50th anniversary kickoff event. You’re invited—and we hope you’ll bring a friend to enjoy great food, fun, games (checkers to Wii), dancing and more!
